Refugee Relief Ynys Môn
We are a small UK registered charity, originating from North Wales, consisting of four trustees – Barry, Sophie, Betty and Carys.
In response to the plight of the refugees, the group formed through collecting donations of clothes, food and other essential items to ship out to the camps of Greece, Lebanon, Turkey and elsewhere.
Our requests for donations were so successful that it wasn’t long before we decided to register as a small charity, and we were recognised by HMRC on 5 March 2016. On 15 July 2019 the Charity Commission recognised REFUGEE RELIEF YNYS MÔN as an established charity for the public benefit, where we appear on the Register of Charities (Registered Charity Number 1184413). Refugee Relief Ynys Môn is therefore now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
We’d like to thank all our supporters for your help in reaching this important milestone. This will hopefully enable us to grow and offer help to even more of the people who so desperately need our support.

Everything we do at RRYM is rooted in the trusted relationships we have built with volunteers working on the ground through charitable organisations in Uganda, Lebanon and Syria.
It is these dedicated individuals that provide us the invaluable first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by local communities and help us identify where support is needed most. Their honest guidance, local expertise and regular feedback allow us to respond to changing circumstances and direct resources where they will have the greatest effect. By working closely with people we know and trust, we can ensure that every penny donated is used responsibly, efficiently and where it will make the most meaningful impact.
