To all the lovely people who were generous enough to sponsor me in my quest to climb the great Orme, I can finally confirm that on Sunday, the 28th of November I finally did it!!!  😁 The weather was chilly but dry, which was something of a miracle as the previous couple of days had been very stormy indeed with Gail force winds and torrential rain. You’ll see from the pictures that it was quite windy once we left the shelter of the mountain  for the final climb to the top. The fact that I was joined on the climb by husband Barry, daughter Sophie, her partner Jamie and retired guide dog Quella, Who has made a complete recovery following her shoulder surgery, made the day even more special. Heartfelt thanks to local craftswoman Gwenda Pritchard who gave her time, free of charge, to design my very unique flag. I hope my Syrian friends approve of her efforts.

As a result of your wonderful support I have collected a total of £800 which will be divided equally between Peace kindergarten on the Turkish border and a project to purchase food baskets for displaced Syrian families in Lebanon. Thanks so much to those of you who supported me for your donations, for sharing my posts and for your words of encouragement which is what serves to keep me going with these challenges much of the time. I consider myself incredibly lucky to know so many kind, compassionate people.
